Department of Neurology

Neurological Conditions

The primary focus of our Department of Neurology is the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of various neurological conditions and disorders. These may include disorders of the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and muscles. Common conditions treated by neurologists include epilepsy, stroke, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, migraines, neuropathies, and movement disorders.

Neurologists

Our department is staffed with neurologists, who are medical doctors with specialized training in neurology. Our neurologists are experts in the anatomy, physiology, and function of the nervous system and have extensive knowledge of neurological diseases and their management.

Diagnosis and Evaluation

Our neurologists use a variety of diagnostic tools and techniques to assess and diagnose neurological conditions. This may include neurological examinations, imaging studies (such as MRI and CT scans), electrodiagnostic tests (such as EEG and EMG), and laboratory tests.

Non-Surgical Treatment

We primarily provide non-surgical treatments for neurological conditions. These treatments may include medication management, lifestyle and dietary recommendations, physical therapy, and rehabilitation programs.

Epilepsy Care

Our neurologists specialize in the diagnosis and management of epilepsy and seizure disorders. We prescribe antiepileptic medications and evaluate candidates for epilepsy surgery when necessary.

Movement Disorders

Our Neurologists are experts in the treatment of movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, and dystonia. We prescribe medications or recommend deep brain stimulation (DBS) therapy.

Memory and Cognitive Disorders

We diagnose and manage memory and cognitive disorders, including Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. We prescribe medications to slow the progression of these conditions and offer support to patients and their families.

Neurological Rehabilitation

After a neurological event or surgery, patients may require rehabilitation to regain function. Our Neurologists work closely with rehabilitation specialists to develop comprehensive rehabilitation plans.
